I’m not a blogger.
Oh, I’ve set up the occasional blogging site. I’ve played in Blogger, and years ago even hung out on Xanga. This site in particular is a good example. It’s been here for 5(!!!) years, and I post a couple times a year at best. Usually when I get the urge to try to be a blogger, and I think to myself, “This time, I’m sticking with it!”.
So far, the bulk of my posts cover things I’ve found useful in the performance of my job, my adventures in Jeep modification and maintenance, and a shot at making my own deck gates (which are still working wonderfully, by the way).
So I get a post out there, nobody but the spammers comment on it, and then I forget, and the site sits here, waiting for my semi-annual (give or take) urge to write a blog post to hit.
So, someone please tell me what the hell do I think I’m doing by participating in Blaugust? If, somehow, you’re here, and don’t know what that is, it’s simple. A challenge among a group of friends and bloggers to create a blog post and put it out there for all to see, every day during the month of August. And upon seeing said challenge, I thought to myself, “Hey, that sounds like fun!”.
Hi, have I met me? It’s like I don’t even know who I am.
Alright, whatever. I’m here. You’re here. It’s Blaugust. I’ve got one post in.
Only thirty more to go.
